Music, Movies, and Books
Currently listening to Tingsek, Emily King, Hinds, Alexia Gredy, Litany, Jonathan Wilson. Astrud Gilberto, Francoise Hardy, Mina. Impressionist classical, opera, classical that melts into modern, modern that melt with Africa into Jazz, Jazz that melts into everything. Greek music of all kinds from the 50's-70's. Throw in a heavy dose of Tango from the 20's to 90's, southern Italian folk music, David Byrne, Nevilles, a little electronic, a taste of oud & sitar, classic rock, old school Bay Area, old school New Orleans, flamenco, indie, blues...
Cinema is magic. I try to see 2-3 films every week.
Reading: from Kafka, to Edo-era Ukiyo-E coffee table art histories, to treatise on nonsensical western philosophies, to someone's old National Geographic collection, to visual explanations of ancient Roman architecture to Persian poetry, gaudy romances, violent westerns, unnerving murder mysteries, too-real sci-fi, political thrillers, Shackleton, Julia Child, dinosaurs, and knitting... Growing up in a house covered in books allowed me to connect with different cultures, to those of different socioeconomic, racial, religious, gender bases, as well as my dearest ones, with a level of understanding that would not have been attainable had I personally never delved into these other worlds.

Teach, Learn, Share
Cooking and darkroom/digital portrait photography are two things I do well with. Always ready to go out dancing. I can fix a button, change a tire and cut hair... Right now picking up basic bicycle repair and carpentry skills. Down to learn anything as long as it fits.
