My Name is Ali, I come from Bahrain (a tiny island in the gulf with 1.5 million population.) I am currently doing my bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance, aiming to do my masters in Philosophy/PPE or maybe something else, who knows? I am an open-minded person who is quiet interested in continental philosophy, art, mythology, psychology and literature. I am very passionate about music and I am currently trying to learn the classical guitar :)
I spend my free time reading books (non-fiction and some fiction), listening to philosophy lectures, podcasts, stand up comedy, writing in my diary (a habit that stayed with me since childhood) or spend time with friends.

Travelling is more than just visiting new places, we meet different people and learn about different cultures and traditions. This is certainly one of the best ways to meet with open-minded people and make new friendships.

Meeting the locals of the country I'm visiting, bridging cultural gaps, sharing exciting experiences that are culturally rich. I enjoy making conversations, sharing stories, and seeing the world through other peoples eyes.
Plus experiencing all the local stuff I can get (food, language, music, dance if applicable hahah)

Some of my favorites are writers are Michel Foucault, George Orwell, Carl Sagan, Christopher Hitchens, Malcolm Gladwell, Carl Jung, Nassim Nicholas Taleb, Bertrand Russell, Friedrich Nietzsche, Joseph Campbell, Noam Chomsky.

Movies: I like both documentaries and movies.
Documentaries: Baraka, Examined Life, Cosmos, An Inconvenient Truth, David Attenborough Kingdom Of Plants, Power of Myth.

Movies: The Shawshank Redemption, Pursuit of Happiness, Never Let me go, The Imitation Game.
