Overview
About Me
I'm an awkward turtle-girl masquerading as an adult human nanny in Germany, so far no one's caught on. I was born in the United States and lived there for most of my modest years in butt-fart no-where until I got the beautiful opportunity to come to europe for a year. I read a lot, I write a lot, I'm a socially anxious extrovert which is kind of like being mildly allergic to air. One day I hope to install a benevolent dictatorship over the world as a whole, so far my only follower is a cat named Smokey, but he's very supportive. I have the attention span of a gnat (otherwise called ADHD type 2) and get way too excited about comic-based movies and tv shows. I love Jesus, (that's not a joke, but like an actual genuine statement. Crazy I know) and can get real nerdy about the Bible in 0.42 seconds. I'm bad at self-motivation but great at self-deprecation (poetry!) also I like dogs more than people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm in europe for a year and I'd like to see more than just this little corner of Germany. I'm looking for cheap options to travel around a bit. I'm also terrified of traveling alone and I really want to meet people and make friends, a friend of mine recommended CS so here I am! So far I seem mildly bad at it as a whole but time shall tell.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't really have favorite musi-oh yes I do it's Queen and they've owned a part of my soul since I was eight and heard Bohemian Rhapsody for the first time Good Gracious! Other than that it's a pretty mixed bag of eclectic tastes and interests. My current movie obsession is badly made eighties films with too many explosions or Jupiter Rising which is the BEST bad movie I've ever seen. I'm reading a lot; like at least two YA novels, a historical romance and a really long expanded U fanfic by a genius lady who lives in Finland (she's my hero).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Just coming to Germany has been a fantastic experience I never thought would happen, it's been lovely and beautiful. I've been to Switzerland, that was quite nice. In the past I've gotten to go to Peru, Hawaii, I've been able to work with children in more than four countries. I've met some truly amazing people along the way (I'm being entirely genuine again, I know, still crazy)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm an ex-competitive swimmer, I swam for over seven years and taught swim lessons as well. I have extensive experience working with large groups of children. I'm learning German at the moment, I also hope to learn French and improve my Spanish. I'm a writer, I'm currently writing a novel, I also write poetry and draw and paint upon occasion. I want to learn more about other cultures, I would like to become more active, maybe learn more martial arts, more languages. I want to see museums and learn about the history of wherever I'm at.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to share my experiences and knowledge with anyone willing to listen to me ramble. I have an extensive understanding of religion, the bible and biblical history as well as linguistics, american history and politics as well as writing and creating art.
