About Me

I am from a small island in the English Channel called Guernsey, no one has ever heard of it which is understandable considering its size! I am currently studying at Leiden University in the Netherlands and am enjoying student life! However, I also have a passion for travelling, obviously I guess on here...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to have some new experiences! I have never couchsurfed before and this summer I am excited to travel in a new way. When I move into a bigger apartment next semester I also would like to host fellow travellers. I have a couple of friends who host, and they have always had such great experiences with it.

Interests

I feel as though I my list of interests could last forever, but I would stress how much I love the outdoors and the sun although I also love snow! Coming from a small island and living on the beach, I have a particular love for the sea.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to lots of music my current favourite artists at the moment (albeit this could change by next week) are Radiohead and Joy Division.
I have a love for reading, my favourite books are Journey by Moonlight by Antal Szerb (its a difficult read but I would recommend it to everyone!), Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi and Why Nations Fail by Daron Acemoglu.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Can I say jumping out of a plane in Australia was one of the most amazing things I've done or is that just too cliche... okay more broadly my camper van road trip down the East Coast of Australia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can and love to cook, but I also would love to learn to cook dishes from all around the world. I am an open person and love talk and share ideas.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I probably don't have any particularly useful skills (being from Britain I only speak one language... please teach me more!) but I'm just a happy, an enthusiastic and a clean person who just wants to share my experiences and excitement for life with whoever is kind enough to let me into their lives.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, Cambodia, Cuba, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Greece, Guernsey, Iceland, India, Jersey, Netherlands, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
