Über mich

Studying part time at Portsmouth Uni and working in an Engineering company selling some back-up power to whoever needs it, so generators and UPS :)

I don't drive, but that's okay because I cycle literally everywhere! I have a shabby second-hand bike which I wouldn't swap for anything else.

Polish :)

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

Meeting people! I would much rather sleep on a floor than to stay in a fancy hotel just so I can meet new people. That's the best part of travelling. So if you're a host, a massive thank you for making your place available.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

My music is all over the place. I love feel-good oldies like Love Generation by Bob Sinclar and I can never let Bohemian Rhapsody play without joining in with the choir.
Favorite book is 'the little prince', it's so beautiful. Oh, and the first time I read it was when I was living in India in 2016. Since then I read it in English, Polish, listened to the audio-book aand the film came out. Happy days. But French won't happen anytime soon.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I once broke a self checkout machine when paying in a supermarket when I tried to get rid of all my coins that I had collected. I completely choked the machine.
If that's not amazing enough...
When I was once chopping up carrots for dinner I decided to eat one of the slices and it accidentally went down the wrong hole and got stuck in my throat. As a result I learnt to do a headstand thinking that gravity would help me get it out.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I think a conversation can bring out a lot of commonalities or things that will interest different people. I love listening and sharing... I have had several opportunities to be 'accidentally' inspired by many people. For example, I became vegetarian by 'accident' and now it feels like one of the best decisions of my life. I'm not saying I'll be flipping everyone to become veggie (although I would like that! ), but maybe something like that will result from our chat. One grain of inspiration to make a small positive change. I think that would be great if I can share that in one shape or another and it would make me happy. :)

Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann

I play a bit of piano, I know all the cost cutting methods when travelling, I enjoy cooking and I tend to cook when I'm staying with someone- if I'm allowed of course... and I wash-up!
