About Me
Hello!
Myself and my boyfriend Daniel left Ireland back October 2015 and have been traveling and volunteering in South America ever since. So far we have worked and lived in various places throughout Argentina and Brasil, from managing hostels to caring for 150 baby goats! Our goal is to travel for as long as we possibly can and to spend some time in every South American country.
In our lives back home we both worked in the music industry as promoters and dj's. We both ran a very successful club night in Ireland (which is still in operation) called D.I.E. I mainly play house and techno music when I dj however I am also a classically trained piano player and have some knowledge of flute and violin. I also love to sing! I love any music that's good. Classical, jazz, metal, soul, rnb, hip hop anything good.
I also ran an music internet tv show and online blog and podcast sessions called Flip It Tv for a number of years and spent many Summers traveling around covering music festivals with my crew.
On our return to Ireland we both plan on settling down and setting up a micro brewery along with a weekend restaurant. We are both keen cooks and love craft ales and drinking wine!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have so many reasons for being on couchsurfing! I think it's a really good way of meeting new people who can share their in depth knowledge of place with you.
As I said above in the About Me section, our long term goal over the next few years is to explore every country in South America however we realistically cannot do this without the help of hosts on Couchsurfing who can give us a bed to sleep in. We are also volunteering through Helpx and Workway and without these amenities, our budget would be gone and we'd be on a plane back to Ireland in no time at all!
I rather dislike impersonal hostels while traveling and I don't have enough money to be staying in hotels and even if I did have the money I probably wouldn't either!
My house at home is always open to visitors and travelers and we love to host people in our own house. We love cooking for people and sharing whatever else we have with others.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favourite Music: John Cage - Counterpoint is up there however I don't think I could actually give my favorite music as I love so much
Movie:
Book: Anything by Chuck Palahniuk (he's the guy who wrote Fight Club) and at the moment I'm reading 'A Fine Balance' by Rohinton Mistry
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Tough question!
It involves a late night taxi journey through Paris in a chauffeured limousine however if somebody decides to host us maybe I'll have the full story for them then!
Teach, Learn, Share
As a native English speaker I can assist with conversational English if wanted. If anyone wants to learn a few words in Irish I'd also be happy to share my knowledge of this!
I am currently learning Spanish myself so any help with this through conversation would be greatly appreciated.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a hardrive with 1,000's of songs on it ranging from classical to electronic. I also have many many movies. Anything like this of any interest to people is theirs to copy!
Myself and Daniel are also good cooks and we'd love to cook a meal for our hosts and share a bottle of wine or a beer!
