About Me

We live in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, NC. Ali is an art therapist and loves being a witness and partner in the healing process. Ali currently works with women in recovery from substances and eating disorders. Dave is an entrepreneur and started his own company related to software testing. (Dave can pretty much do anything related to computers). We are pretty active and like to seek out hiking/biking/walking paths. And, we love to eat. Eating and drinking like locals is our most favorite fun way to get to know a new area. Our overseas adventures include Singapore, Malaysia, India, Costa Rica, and Argentina. We are building a house in Asheville that should be completed by spring 2015 so we're looking forward to hosting in the near future.

Music, Movies, and Books

Ali is currently immersed in Pema Chodron, Brene Brown, Byron Katie, Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand. Current favorite movies: Interstellar, Warrior, Celeste and Jesse forever. We both dig SNL and Ted talks. I love the On Being NPR show with Krista Tippit.

Dave is into Tim Ferris, the podcast Serial, and most entrepreneurial and tech related books/podcasts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On new years eve 2010 going into 2011 Dave and I summited the tallest mountain in Southeast Asia to watch the sun rise. The most stunning view I've ever seen.

Teach, Learn, Share

Dave has always been excited about learning another language and has spent considerable effort learning Spanish. We both have a lot to offer in our pursuit to live a less stressful, more connected life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Dave has a lot of thoughts about being a tech entrepreneur and has helped many people discover and have the courage to pursue what their true passions are (including Ali).
