About Me

I just graduated college and am taking myself on several months of backpack travels through Europe! I like nature, reading and writing, music (and dancing dancing dancing to it!!). The three things most essential to me leading my most comfortable and flourishing life are water, coffee, and wine <3

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The best way to get to know a city is through it's locals! Couchsurfing, is just such a good way to travel. I've gotten the best advice and help from my couchsurf hosts--it can really make the world of a difference. Yes, being in hostels and meeting other travellers is nice--but that's only one side of the experience! The other is getting to know people who call the place 'home', and that is so rewarding in so many other magnificent ways.

Interests

I just graduated college with a B.A. in Philosophy--and if you want to ask "what do you do with a degree in philosophy?" we can talk about that. But I'd say it's essentially exactly what I'm doing--travel, think about the world, try to figure it out, talk to people, live life with an inquisitive (but not skeptical) disposition. Open doors, go through them. But yes, it is also true that I'm travelling becuase I don't know what the heck I'm doing with my life, so it's all kind of circular in that way :) Anyway, I love conversations about whatever the heck.

Music, Movies, and Books

Yes I really like sic-fi so there's that. I think a lot about AI and human nature (so Westworld ROCKED my world), haven't made it that far into Black Mirror yet. I like many different kinds of music, but right now I am rocking out to Shakey Graves!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My life has had lots of wonderful blessings in it! I have driven a thousand mile cross-country road trip across the US by myself 6 separate times and I'd say that's pretty amazing. I did different kinds of stage perfomrnace for many years of my life. When I was 17 I wrote one great slam poem and I haven't returned to it since, but I'd like to return to that sometime.

Teach, Learn, Share

Bits o many different kinds of wisdom and how to pet a cat to its greatest fulfillment. I'd love to cook meals together, I can hopefully answer your questions about the American political landscape and talk about identity issues, and I can help interpret your birthchart if youlre open to astrology and looking for a lil ~meaning and understanding~ in your life (but hey if not then we wonlt. But I'm open to all kinds of questions about my life and beliefs!)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am compassionate and understanding, and usually could either happily stay in or go out on the town, so I'm down for anything! I'll keep my place clean and help you cook (or cook for you with gratitude), and I'll sing in the kitchen while I do it.

I'd also say I'm a pro at letter writing for flattery, (I've determined that "~written~words of affirmation" with the crucial qualifier is probably my love language) so before I leave, you may get a lovely hand-written letter about why you're magnificent.
