About Me

*Traveling to Berlin 11/7-11/17

* If you are looking for a place to stay I can't do last minute at this time nor too far in advance (more than 2 weeks)

Hi! Nice to meet you - I'm new here so bare with any typos and needed edits!

I'm an artist that works in entertainment (video games) and as such was forced into a WFH situation when Covid first started. Unfortunately (fortunately) because of that employers introduced me to the concept of traveling and now I find any excuse to buy a ticket. All I have to do is bring my tablet and laptop and we good.

Right now I am taking a break and am traveling since in the US we only get a sparing amount of vacation time, so I think now is the best time to see whats out there.

While its up to you to decide - I really try my best to always be mindful of others, trying to be the best I can to not be a burden for anyone but rather of great help. Those who are similar with that are the ones I find the best bridges are built with.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Speaking for myself - I've always had a complex relationship with being American for personal reasons which we can chat about if you want to hear my story. Basically I'm from a multicultural makeup and have allegiances to people I connect with. Always love meeting people who have different backgrounds and those who feel the same.

When traveling I hope to meet people that I'd like to say could become friends that hopefully want to come stay on a visit with me in the States. If you are busy I don't mind, but if you have time I'd love to see where you are from/living and see what the culture is like from an honest perspective.

With visitors - If I have time to show you around I definitely will. Have lived in Boston for most of my life (with some gap years spread out) so can show you places you wouldn't see otherwise. I love when I see people have a 'new' experience with something I've grown to have as just normality. Its quite refreshing. Can also introduce you to other locals too.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching and helping others is one of my favorite activities to do. I really feel that with teaching you reinforce lessons you take for granted with experience.

As such - If you are interested in learning about working in the video game industry I'd love to share and help. I work on the art side of things so if you are curious to talk shop or just learn what that entails, or even learn a small amount I'd love to connect.

Regards to learning - I really enjoy understanding other peoples hobbies/skills they've found over the years. I recently joined a bricklayers Facebook group to learn how to fix the bricks in my flat for example. Personally I'd love to learn more in the ways of cooking, as well as building focus.
