Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have surfed and hosted!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've CouchSurfed in Amritsar India, and I was with my friend who has a CS account and had found us a host. It was a wonderful experience and it turned me into a true CS believer.
I've also helped host people through CS, when my roommate at the time was hosting in Minnesota. When she was busy I took our guests out on the town and really enjoyed getting to know them!
I hosted a couple of guests in Vermont - one of them has turned out to be someone I still count as a good friend, and we have stayed in touch!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movie is Back to the Future, favorite book is The Giver, and favorite music artists are Regina Spektor, The Organ, Michael Jackson, and a lot of local Minneapolis artists.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Cappadoccia, in central Turkey, the caves are indescribable. I'll never forget exploring by moped, and sleeping in a gazebo behind a youth hostel, surrounded by caves.

The Pakistani/India border (in Amritsar, India) has a ceremony every evening to close the border for the night. There was dancing, marching, music, and chanting (and this happens every single night!) It was very memorable.

My first day in Ukraine, my host family handed me a shot of vodka for breakfast.

Teach, Learn, Share

Traveling and meeting other travelers is one of the best ways to learn new things and to meet some of the best people!
