ABOUT ME

First off, I live a vagabond life and have very little needs and no demands. I live in a tent in the backcountry for my job during the season, and in the off season I travel, set up a tent in a yard, or sleep in a car, or kick it with friends of new and old. I love getting to live like this while I can, but I really think it's rad when good people are around.

"Why Not?!" I live without expectations, open to experiences. How do I know I'll like or dislike something unless I try it? How do I know I can do something unless I try it, fail at it, and keep trying until I get it?

I think we're here to have experiences, to share experiences, and to learn from everyone. I got a BA from Occidental College, and despite it being a very positive experience, I really feel it was just another stepping stone in my education. I am happiest when I'm learning something...whether it be a field study on the ocean, or how to make wine at the vineyard where I live, or how to roast coffee beans, or how to build a table from slabs cut from a fallen tree.

I'm no where near to knowing what my calling is. I am not lost, but searching, exploring, learning, and experimenting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting people from the area IS what traveling is all about. Everyone has a lesson to teach, and I'm excited to meet new people and learn from their life's journey.
