ABOUT ME

i first came to italy---and really started to travel deeply--last summer, when i volunteered on organic farms in Toscana. i loved it so much i decided to move to Italy for a year. it seemed important to me to lose the provinciality, the kind of narciscism (correctly spelled? months of living in a second language have destroyed my spelling), so particular to new york. previously, i spent a lot of time in climate-controlled environments reading nineteenth-century novels.

sono appena tornata a new york (la mia piccola città) dopo un'anno in Italia. mi manca già tanto l'Italia e spero di ospitare qualche italiano qua a New York. Sarebbe un bel modo per esercitare il mio italiano anche perchè ho un gran senso di graditudine per l'Italia dove ho trovato un'accoglienza incredibile. Comunque, spero di poter resituire l'ospitalità ricevuta in Italia a chiunque sia interessato a venire a NY. Siete tutti i benvenuti a casa mia!"
