Hi, I'm Ali and I'm living in Utrecht, objectively the nicest city in the Netherlands.

I'm a huge music and movie nerd and enjoy reading and cooking too. Most recently I enjoyed reading 'there are rivers in the sky' by Elif Shafak and 'Martyr' by Kaveh Akbar.

I have Iranian parents but was raised in different countries and grew up internationally. However, I have now been in the Netherlands for most of my life and would consider myself Dutch if I had to choose. But yes it's also confusing for me!

Perhaps not unrelated, I love experiencing and exchanging cultures. I'm curious about people, their stories, their humor and what makes them tick.
