About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finish my schooling!!

ABOUT ME

In the simplest terms, I'm a dreamer, a wildchild, young at heart (hope to be that way my whole life), pretty easygoing, and looking to have fun with life and be merry. I'm a knowledge addict and love learning everything about anything. Always on the go and love traveling anywhere I can (when I can). I want to see the world, it's one of my main goals in life. I Love to dance (all forms) and go out and have fun but I also like my lazy-home days. I'm majoring in dance which I've been doing for about 19 years now (tap, ballet, jazz, and recently hiphop and modern, house stepping, the shuffle, dada...) I've been a tap dancing instructor since 2002. My other major is psychology, which I hope to study in my own culture as well as internationally. I aim to open my own dance-pyschology studio and create my own form of therapy through dance and body movement.

PHILOSOPHY

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!'"

-Hunter S. Thompson

"Look to the moon and swing from a star."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm here to meet new people by hosting and surfing. I would like to couch surf everywhere I go. I can also teach you how to tap if your interested.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed and I've hosted. It has been exactly what I expected, good times.

Interests

Daydreaming, Dance, music, potatoes, water (in every form), painting, dags ;) and the sky (the moon, clouds, rain, fog, stars, the sun, everything about it) art, bmx, swinging, skating, and snowboarding, watching tv mute while playing music (makes for good homemade music videos and I like watching the emotions and scenery instead of hearing them sometimes) I also like to sit by the sacramento river and write or spin records on my turntables. I hope to be a professional DJ someday, along with my many aspirations. Music is one of my favorite things: writing it, listening to it, discovering new musicians, anything that involves music. I love to travel even though I don't get to do it as often as I would like to yet. Though when I do, I plan to take the world by storm. I want to discover more enlightenment and also return that favor to the world around me.

Music, Movies, and Books

A perfect circle, nine inch nails, pearl jam, 311, stone temple pilots, rage against the machine, tool, incubus, Lamb, cypress hill, groove armada, jane's addiction, Bjork, sublime, and way out west are some of my favorite groups (but that list can go on forever). Some of my favorite movies/tv shows are 5th element (my favorite movie of all time), Hackers, George Carlin stand-up, Zeitgeist films (along with the movement and Peter joseph's other films), Young Einstein, Devil's rejects, White Oleander, I love lucy, Metalocolypse, Robot Chicken, Green street hooligans, fightclub, Milo and otis, American beauty, Memoirs of a geisha, Requiem for a dream, Maria full of grace, 300, No country for old men, Goonies, American psycho, most foreign films, scary movies, and anything involving Hunter S. Thompson. As for Books, I love reading anything from dictionaries to novels, it's all interesting to me. Though I love david peltzer books, crime and punishment volumes, and my journals.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I performed in the half time show for the 2001 probowl in Honolulu and watched the game from the end zone, it was so awesome because of all the energy surrounding the game (though I must admit that I'm not much of a football fan). I was also given the chance to teach and pass my knowledge of dance on to students that will carry it with them throughout their futures in dance and in life, though if they only learn a few tap steps and enjoy themselves, then I'm happy. I hope to experience amazing things throughout my entire life, I want it to get better and better.

Teach, Learn, Share

The best advice I was ever given: BE TRUE TO YOURSELF, live and let live, and drink lots of water.

Also Marilyn Monroe had a very realistic perception of life, which I also think holds mounds of truth; she said that:

"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together."

*Though I differ in the aspect that I think people can be trust-worthy, and there are people in my life who I trust very deeply.
