About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore myself and the world around me as gently and lovingly as I know how. Staying a perennial student of life and those things that interest me.
ABOUT ME
I have lived the standard vanilla life up until 2016 when I jumped off the hamster wheel to travel the world and follow my heart. I am on the move around the world and meeting people, seeing parts of the world I have only read about and eating my way through any and all of them!
I have spent four years in Australia after meeting a fabulous Australian man in Scotland named Trevor that I now have the honor of calling my partner.
PHILOSOPHY
Be where you are, do what you love and love one another.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love people. I am not a loner and enjoy getting to know people, listen to their stories and get their recommendations.
Hotels are a lonely way to travel and hostels are fun but are often filled with travelers, not locals.
Sometimes I just want to know I am in someone's house, safe, and making a meaningful connection.
Interests
dancing, laughing, people watching, cooking, eating, walking, being outside, seeing old stuff!, Smiling a lot and stopping to see the details in sidewalks and literally smell the roses. I enjoy live music, good stories, and good food. I'm currently teaching myself how to play the ukulele, sail, and how to code new languages.
I have a passion for the ocean and love water in general. Being on, around, or in the water. All of it.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music.... pop, country, blues, some hip hop, some other, some old music, I kinda take what I like from most genres and leave the rest. Right now I'm listening to a lot of Sara Barielles, Adele, Passenger type music.
Movies.. I love animations. All time favorite is The Emperor's New Groove.
Books... I guess I enjoy historical fiction. Didn't know that until I started reading the Outlander series. I also read a lot of non-fiction, self improvement, and lots of blogs. Blogs count in the books category!
