About Me
Hi,
I'm nineteen years old and I live in Montreal. I have a french backround, I was born in Paris. Although french is my first language, I am still able to get by in english. I study history and will be doing sociology and gender studies next year at university. I'm into arts, music, dance and theatre. I also enjoy cooking a lot, so I would be glad to prepare something delicious as a thank you!
This summer I'm traveling with a friend, also from Montreal. We are cycling trough Ireland before visiting Scotland and England. My friend is aslo into arts and traveling. She studied in dance and in litterature. She also likes sports and likes to eat a lot, which works well for both of us ;)
We have wanted to visit those countries for quite some time, so we are very exited for this summer. We look forward to the couch surfing experience to make our trip even more memorable!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I already had a few couchsurfing experiences with my sister and with one of my friend. It was amazing, I really enjoyed it, it allowed me to meet new people, which is always fun. Plus, I got to discover the country from the inside, since the people participating in couchsurfing live there and are able to show you things that aren't usually in tourist guides.
My friend, Sarah, never tried Couchsurfing, but my experience made her want to try! This summer might be just the moment!
We both like to meet new people, and CS give the opportunity to do so! Meeting new people especially with Couchsurfing is a way of discovering new things and to get n touch with other visions of the world!
I believe that Couchsurfing gives another dimension to a trip! You are not just another tourist and it makes the experience even better and more interesting!
Briefly, I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe this is an amazing alternative and it makes us see that there are so many nice people out there. In my opinion Couchsurfing is a really inspiring idea that shows that we are not self-centered!
Interests
As I said before, I love arts, especially dance and theater! I have done both during many years and I'm always trying to figure out ways to integrate art into my life.
I also enjoy sports especially cycling, which I think is a marvelous way to travel!
I obviously like traveling, I haven't visited as many places as I wish I had yet! When I was a kid my parents took me on long roadtrips across USA and Canada.
I like reading: novels, essay, comics (Sarah likes Mangas a lot!)
I have many interests, I like to think that I'm curious and always trying to discover new things. Sometimes I feel like I have to many things I want to do and not enough time!

Music, Movies, and Books
This is a very hard question....There are so many!
I do listen to a lot of recent bands from quebec. I would be pleased to share some of my musical discoveries! I have quite a diverse taste in music.
The movies I like are all from different genres. Old french movies (L'Hotel du nord, la Guerre des Boutons, La belle et la bête, Diva...) are really good. Movies from Quebec are excellent but a lot of them are depressing. I enjoy watching Musicals... And like a lot of people I watch TV series, wich are quite dangerous for my sleep schedule...
It's the same thing for books. I read a lot of things that are really different from eachother. I like reading an essay and a novel at the same so I can switch from one to another!
I'm always looking to discover more, especially music and movies!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
...
At the end of High school, with my theatrical troop (with Sarah) I wrote a play and then acted in it... I think it's pretty amazing!
And if we survive, at the end of the trip we will have done West Ireland in bycicle!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can give some cooking tips and share food!
I can also show some rock dance moves which is pretty fun!
Also, I know how to knit, which can be useful!
And sharing ideas, having conversations...
What I Can Share with Hosts
Well I kind of already said that, but anything I know how to do, I'm glad to teach and share! And I have an easygoing lively personality!
