Overview
About Me
My name is Alice, I'm 21 and I'm studying linguistics in Paris.
I'm fond of meeting (new) friends, having a drink in town center, trekking, or just staying at home with a nice book. I enjoy a lot talking, about serious matters or funny and light ones.
I love pets ; I have two cats and a rat.
I'm a smoker but I can survive without smoking for a few hours !
I like doing a bit of sports. I sometimes go jogging, and I've started playing Quidditch this year, which I really enjoy !
I can play a bit the saxophone and the bass guitar, and I've been doing theater for 12 years.
I'm a scout since I'm a child ; I'm used to living with people, and I value a lot friendship, solidarity and sense of sharing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I think that a trip without meeting new people and getting to know them properly isn't fully satisfying. I think Couchsurfing is a great way to discover other ways of living, and other cultures, with people who welcome you into their everyday life.
Interests
I'm really really interested in Antiquity (ancient languages, ancient history, greek philosophy, linguistics, ancient litterature and so on...). I also really like English and French litterature, but I think this is just because I don't know that of any other country !
I'm actually a bit scholar, but I also really enjoy going to the theater, shopping, visiting interesting places, travelling (but I guess you had already got that point), getting to know other cultures, chatting...
I also like to play the music and hear music players !

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not listening to a lot of music although I don't mind it at all. I rather enjoy jazz and rock, but almost everything is fine to me, except heavy metal ! My favorite band is Les Cowboys Fringants, from Montréal.
My favorite book is definitely Cyrano de Bergerac, a French play by Edmond Rostand ; if you're interested in (re)discovering it, I have it in French, English, Italian, Icelandic, Russian, Portugese, Slovak, Czech and Serbian ;)
Generally speaking, I really like any book, as long as it is well written and with an original and thrilling plot.
