Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Honestly, being a college student, traveling is hard enough on the wallet as it is. Couchsurfing is a great way to help ease that damage to the bank. However, I also believe that staying with locals and having input on adventures and dining areas is beyond valuable in adding to my experiences anywhere I stay!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love rap music! But I also really enjoy everything from jazz to country to The Cure. Growing up, my parents listened to Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, Nirvana, etc. So there's always a special place in my heart for music that my generation may not listen to on a regular basis. I love all kinds of movies, as well. But I'm a sucker for horror movies - I've seen tons, through the spaces between my fingers of course. I'm really trying to read more, but it's hard for me to get back to enjoying reading after spending years of reading for academics, if I'm being honest.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Found my way from where I was staying in Beijing to a specific art district all on my own without speaking a lick of Chinese. That may not sound that impressive - but believe me, traveling in local China without knowing Chinese is really difficult.
