This is my 11nd day in New York. I came over on a cargo vessel, I was the ONLY
passenger. So much to tell you seeing I am over 70.
Three children, 42, 39 and 36 years of age.
Three grandchildren, one girl, two boys.
Have attempted and often succeeded many a career change.
Travelling, moving from one country to the next seemed compulsory.
Born in Poland, grew up in Germany then Belgium.
Lived months and years in many a country throughout Europe and the
Middle East.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Currently room on Broome street, New York.
Prefer to spend my pocket money on books, films, wine
and presents for my family so need another option.
An Australian friend advised me on Couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music. Classical, Judy Garland, Leonard Cohen and Amy Winehouse
and others Pearl Jam etc. etc.
Movies : My Architect, Man on Wire, Things People do and last film I
saw Lion. Many, many more.
Books : Just bought Jonathan Safran Foer's "I am Here".
Will be my reference book for many months to come.
Brought one book over to America : Anne Michaels' "Fugitive Pieces".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One day while I was teaching English and basic French in Moscow,
came upon information on an impending concert by Leonard Cohen.
So I flew out to Cardiff, Wales - United Kingdom - Europe and back
to Moscow. Sometimes we make the right choices.

What I Can Share with Hosts

An incredible place, quite isolated but near a 13th century village.
Only thing is I will be in New York till end of May so any visit/stay
will have to wait my return.
