My name is Alice, I'm Belgian but I moved a lot during my childhood, and that's where I caught the travel bug. I currently live in Montreal, Canada where I study biology.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy meeting people with different background. I like to think that I am open minded and love to talk to people who had different life experiences. It is always interesting to find out about other cultures.

Interests

I am a very curious person. I like to try new thinks.
I love doing things with my hands, like arts and crafts or cooking.
As a biologist, I enjoy being surrounded by nature, I wish I could hike more often, but I haven't found my perfect hiking buddy yet.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a wide range of music, depending on my mood.
As for movies and TV shows, I'm not picky. In fact, Netflix occupies a good portion of my free time.
My favourite authors are probably JK Rowlings and Sir Arthur Conan Doyles. I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter, and Sherlock Holmes (Jeremy Brett and Benedict Cumberbatch). I don't read that much (because I'm too lazy or don't have enough time) but I spend a lot of time listening to audiobooks. I listen to books whenever I have free time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went trecking in the Morrocan desert and the Atlas Mountains for 2 weeks, without luxery: meaning no bathrooms, no showers, no fancy hotels. Being surrounded by amazing landscapes untouched by humans, and incredible biodiversity.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to bake. Not that long ago, I took a nutrition class, and since then, I learned a lot of alternative, healthy new recipies. I can bake vegan or wheat-free or sugar-free or dairy-free recipies that are absolutely delicious. So I'd love to learn new recipes, and I can also share mine.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've been living in Montreal for 4 years now, so I feel like I'm starting to know the city quite well. I've been told that I am an excellent tour guide. I'd love to make my host fall in love with the city!
