About Me
I just finished my studies and I am currently looking for a job. I love to travel and try to do it when I have the time and the opportunity. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I decided to create an account on Couchsurfing because I want to meet new people of course !
Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite Movie : Un prophète by Jacques Audiard
Favorite Books : Zigzag by José Carlos Somoza, Oceano Mare by Baricco and many others but these are the two that come up
Favorite Music : I don't have one group that I am a huge fan of. I am basically open to a lot of style. Love Pink Floyd, Leonard Cohen and Passenger for example
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first thing that come to my mind is something that I did in the Philippines. I was with a friend (Justine) (you can see her on some of my photos) and we were in Sagada (in the north of the Luzon island). In our guide was written "Sagada is famous for its hanging coffins and for its cave" and we met a guy who told us "why don't you visit the cave with me ? it is going to be fun". We asked for a guide and went to the cave...
I don't know if it was the worst or the best thing I did in my life
Basically we didn't have any light (except for the light our guide had) or any security, sometimes some ropes to go over a rock but that was it. You couldn't see anything, you could only hear water or feel the air. It was crazy. At the beginning I actually told my friend "ok go without me I can't, I'll meet you at the end, I can't" and she told "euuh Alice I am not doing this without you" so I decided to do it. There is two photos where you can see how frighten I was. At one point the guide told us "ok put one foot here, two fingers here and hold tight" and I was just against wall thinking "what am I doing". There was nothing behind me and I couldn't see how deep it was...
Anyway we made it ! (I can't tell you how relieved I was at the end)
A few days later tourist were trapped inside because of a typhon but thankfully everyone made it.
And now when I have an event (an oral exam for the most part since I am still a student) who is a little bit stressful I think "you survived the cave, you can do it" !
