About Me

I'm currently living in Seville for a few months. I'm learning Spanish, exploring this beautiful city and enjoying the sunshine :)

I grew up in the countryside in Wales. For the past six years I've lived in Bristol in the south west of England. It's an amazing, vibrant city with lots of fun things to do but after working for the past two years in an office, sat down in front of a computer every day, I needed a new adventure. I quit my job in May 2017 and set off with my bike to cycle from Brittany in northern France down south, along the coast, to Hendaye near the border with Spain.

I'm planning to spend the winter in southern Spain so I can practice Spanish and escape the grey British winter!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd love to meet up with locals, travellers, fellow nomads... anyone who is interested in exploring the sights and sounds of Seville, maybe grabbing a beer, going for a walk, getting coffee.

Music, Movies, and Books

I find it impossible to describe music genres! Some of my favourite bands are... Eels, Metric Wolf Alice, Fleetwood Mac, Rolling Stones, Alt J, Placebo, Portishead. Recently I've been really getting into Glass Animals.

I love to read, some of my favourite authors are Margaret Atwood, Jonathan Franzen, Eleanor Catton, Donna Tart, Brett Easton Ellis, Scarlett Thomas. Some of my favourite books I've read recently are The Family Fang, Prisoners of Geography, The Girl from Nowhere, Where'd you go Bernadette, The Interestings, and so many more. I read a lot :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in Bolivia I went to the Salt Flats. It was like nowhere else I've seen on earth. It was totally stunning and truly amazing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a pretty good cook (if I do say so myself) and I like to practice languages and learn more about other people's cultures and daily lives.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, France, Italy, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Spain, Thailand
