About Me
I'm an English girl who has lived in France for most of her life. I'm currently studying in Bordeaux so I'm living in student accomodation which means that unfortunately I can't host at all.
As I've moved around quite a bit from early on in life I've got a taste for travelling and I'm of the opinion that there's no point travelling to a country to just visit places. I think that if you really want to get to know the country you have to meet its people, and learn their culture from them, which is why I want to stay with you guys!
I speak English and French fluently and I have a basic level of Spanish which I'm constantly trying to improve so if you speak Spanish, don't hesitate to talk to me in that language so I can learn! I also know like 3 words in German but that's about it haha.
I have 2 friends (the ones in my profile pic) that I'll be doing most of my travelling with. We're young 18/19 year old students but we're very respectful and really want to learn about you and share our knowledge with you. We all love to cook so if you want we can cook for you if you're willing to hand over you kitchen for a little while. We're really easygoing and we're not looking to party non-stop and stay out late every night, we really just want to have a good time, meet new people and learn. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My 2 friends and I want to travel through 1 European country every summer for the next few years to discover the country's culture and what better way of doing that than sharing with the people who live there?
Interests
Obviously I love to travel but mainly I love spending time with my friends, discovering new cultures, foods, music...
Music, Movies, and Books
I have seen way too many films to have a favourite! I love all types of movies...
Book-wise my favourite French one is probably L'étranger (The Stranger) by Camus and in English I love Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen but there are so many amazing books out there!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've survived having an older brother which is quite an amazing feat if you ask me!
Teach, Learn, Share
The way to learn is through conversation. Sharing our knowledge, learning about other people's experiences and listening to other people's opinions is what makes us grow and become more understanding and accepting of others. So my philosophy is Listen, Learn, Debate, Teach!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm lucky enough to know not only about French culture but also English culture so I'm happy to talk about either!
