Hello travelers of everywhere! I am Alice, free spirt and life lover. I try to imagine the world with a positive approach. I consider myself a people person, who enjoy the mutual exchange. I consider traveling a way to enrich ourself thanks to a new look. In my daily life I need to practice sports, to create with my hands or my mind and to enjoy the pleasures of the life preferably in good company.
I come from Europe, a place where human reason stands over the valuable nature but creating eternal souvenir. And I lived until my 18years in Palermo, a melting pot of cultures, located in a precious bay. Grew up in a paradise for all the senses, starting from the smell of citrus until the taste of food. During my 6years studies (Mechanical Engineering) I had the chance to live in Lyon (France), where I felt in love with the cycling and the respect of our nature. Looking for freedom I spent 5months in Auroville (South of India), apart the culture shock I experienced the most natural smile. Right now, after a working experience as Manager in a consulting group, I am planning a trip along California in order to feel the ocean breeze.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a quite new entry in the Couchsurfing network, but I know it since long time. I am sure CS will help me in finding people who wants to share knowledge, experience, stories or adventures. I respect the value of the hospitality, being a guest or an host. As a guest I can offer a good mood and a toothy smile, great enthusiasm to share tasks as the cooking or the cleaning, and an open minded attitude predisposed to the discover of new activities.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy different kinds of music but sometime I need the silence of nature around me. I love hearing the classics of the rock or the pop music of the 90's under the shower or during my running session. I prefer classical or jazz music while I am chilling in my place with a cup of tea in my sofa. Electro, techno and tekno and dub music are the best way to let me dance all the night. I am also a fan of vinyls of Italian, French or Latino songwriters. And ast but not least, rap music !
A various top ten could be: The Rolling Stones, Micheal Jackson, Daft Punk, Rohdad, Highlight Tribe, Debussy, John Coltrane, Fabrizio De André, Buena Vista Social Club, Keny Arkana.

Concerning the books, I have a preference for classical novels. For example G.G.Marquez and I. Allende make me dream thanks to the magical and exotic touch satisfying readers curiosity. A pitch of history is also appreciated. From the fantastic stories of Wilbur Smith to the sad reality of Alexandre Dumas. I have a passion for philosophical novels as Siddartha or european/american novelists as Luigi Pirandello.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just live my life taking fun and as much love as possible!

Some of incredible things:
- My first Triathlon race in Cassis, a mediterranean paradise, with two special people!
- A 20km race in my loved city Palermo
- Biking Packs Tours: in Tandem along the Bretagne canals, the Cote d'Azur by bike, the Loire Castles and some free camping tours by bike! With a precious companion or companions.
- Make some oils or acrylics paintings, or clay funny statuettes. Or just draw what you see with watercolors.
- Be part of amateur theatrical companies. Or play some improvisation in the middle of the street.
- Live for 5months in Auroville, visionary city of consciousness.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very happy when I create something, it could be by drawing or cooking. And I clearly prefer when I can share these moments of creativity with some other people. On an hand I am used to share my knowledge on Engineering, Ecological, Environmental, Cultural, Historical, Geographical topics with people around me. But on the hand, I am very curious and I am glad of hearing different point of views to open my mind. I have plenty of energy that I use during sports sessions. I practice in open spaces footing, cycling, swimming or hiking to empty my mind. In company I propose beach-volley or volley matches, diving session and surfing(at the really beginning), skiing. But I am open to get involved in new activities.
