ABOUT ME

I am travelling South America with my three best friends; Our names are Alice, Millie,Rachael and Abbi.
Our aim is to stay in travelling and learning for as long as possible! We want to fully explore different cultures and ways of life.

We are all very open minded, easy going and friendly. We enjoy listening to the stories and being in the company of other people.

As we are from England, we speak fluent English but are also really keen to learn Spanish! We would also be happy to exchange language lessons!

Interests

I am an easy going person, who works hard towards my goals. I am a qualified Primary School teacher, specialising in English Language. I chose to be a teacher because it is so rewarding knowing you can make difference to children's understanding of the world and help them realise their potentials and abilities. Being a teacher has made me more open minded. I have worked in a range of schools, I am a creative person and have led art, dance and theatre clubs in schools.

I have experience of volunteer work. I spent time in Kenya, living and working in a small community. This involved helping to build a new part of a school and helping teach English in the classrooms. I loved becoming a part of a culture completely different to mine, I felt lucky to be some welcomed. I hope to experience this again in South America.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love going to Festivals, some of my favourites have been Glastonbury in UK, Garden Festival and Dimensions in Croatia, Dekmantel in Amsterdam and Sonar Festival in Barcelona. I love to immerse myself in new music, love to dance and am always searching for sounds that make me happy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Learning to Scuba dive in Thailand and Kenya was one of the strangest but most beautiful things I have done.

Watching a meteor shower of shooting stars and Northern Lights from a deserted beach in the North of Ibiza.

Safari and trekking in Kenya, feeling as though you are surrounded by the wildest animals of the Earth was a breathtaking feeling.

Learning to dance with the people from Masai Tribe because I have never felt so out if place but so welcome at the same time.

Teach, Learn, Share

We are keen to learn new life skills from others, practical skills and knowledge and help out however we can. I consider myself a 'Green' person, I try and take care of the places I visit however I can, I recycle and believe we need to care for the planet we live on.
