Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At my old house we were constantly hosting people on our couch, and I loved getting to meet so many fun travellers and share my city with them.

I've been told that couchsurfing is the only way to travel solo: you get to meet amazing people you would otherwise never have the chance to interact with, see things you'd never see, and make connections around the world.

Interests

I love being outdoors, adventuring in nature or urban settings. Camping, climbing, swimming, cliff jumping, biking, hiking, or just lazing in the sun.

As a pure activity - I prefer hiking to biking, but as a mode of transportation I prefer biking above all else.

I also enjoy going to see live music, going out dancing, and house parties.

I love playing games of all types, I lean more towards the fun, silly, part-type games, but I can also get down with slightly more "nerdy" strategy board games.

Music, Movies, and Books

I appreciate books that make me think about something I've never thought about before, or make me think about a familiar thing in a new way.

I like sci-fi, engrossing nonfiction, and philosophical novels.

Movie: not horror movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2012 I went on a cross-US road trip in an old minivan that we built a bed for the back of. It was amazing getting to explore my own country that way!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can sew things both with a machine or a needle and thread and happy to teach how to make stuffed animals or patch your clothes!

I make great guacamole.
