Hi! My name is Alice, I'm in Italian and I've been living in Barcelona since 2012.
I was raised in Italy and worked there until my 30s, then decided to leave and realize my dream of living abroad and travel whenever I can. Choosing Barcelona as my new city was one of the best choices of my life.
Now I'm a remote worker for a software company, I write a lot of stuff on the web and read tons of books.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel I like sleeping in hotels, hostels, airports, AirBnb, friends' houses: I'm super flexible, and I love hosting friends at home.
That's why I think I'm a perfect fit for the Couchsurfing experience!
I strongly believe in sharing economy and solidarity between people. :)

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite readings are South-American authors, like Gabriel Garcia Márquez or Jorge Amado.
But to not neglect my origins, I read A LOT of Italian literature.

I love going to the cinema alone, picking a movie and enjoy it in silence. I like Italian cinema, independent movies festivals, and short films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Leaving my comfort-zone at 30, my country, my old life and a secure job to pursue the life I was dreaming about.
Traveling solo to Argentina for a month.
Getting married twice.
Starting a career in tech from scratch.
Speaking at an international conference in front of 2K people.
