My name is Alice and I am 23 years old.
I was born in Parma, a city in the north-center of Italy. Here there is a special atmosphere, a bit mysterious, maybe due to the humid and misty climate.
In fact, Parma is situated between the Apennines and the Po Valley and the city is crossed by a stream. Parma is famous for its rich gastronomical tradition: Prosciutto di Parma and Parmigiano Cheese.
At 19 years old I went to Turin for my studies and I have lived there for 3 years with other students! I really had a great time with my roommates and the city is fantastic too!!
I have a sister and a brother and a wonderful black dog! Since I was born, I wanted a god but it was not possible beacuse before we lived in a little house. We moved to the countryside and now we have a big house with the garden and I finally realise one of my dream! Dogs are really special, they totally change your life and your mind!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I have already been hosted and I have already hosted and it was simply a great experience!
I like to travel and meet new people, I am interested not in the turistic side but I like to know the real life when I arrive in a new place!

Interests

I love Cinema: I look 3 or 4 films every week! I always read articles about it and I follow the Oscar night and other important events.
I prefer non-commercial movies, I like to see those that explore reality and reflect on human condition: I do not consider cinema just as a hobby, it can entertain but I consider it like and important vehicle of communication, expression and learning.

Another passion of mine is "dressmaking", I do not follow fashion, but I like to create my own clothes, so I bought a sewing machine and I learned how to make clothes and bags.

I also love to do sport or just stay outdoor!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love listening to music, in particular electronic music. I am always on the stereo, even while I am studying! Listening to music helps me to relax when I feel tired, to have fun when I am with my friends and I like to go to concerts and festivals!

I do not read novels a lot, I prefer magazines, newspapers or essays... I like to learn something when I am reading! And if I have freetime I prefer to watch a movie. My favourite directors are Tarantino, David Lynch, Coen brothers and Scorsese.
My favourite actor is absolutely Leonardo di Caprio, he is the best. Give him an Oscar please!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have lived in Chile for 6 months. I was 16 years old and I participated to and AFS program: for 6 months I have lived with a Chilean family, I went to school there... it was the first time so far from home and sometimes it was difficult of course, but at the end I realised it was the most important experience in my life.
People there are open and kind and the country is so long that you can go from frozen landscape to the desert... it's amazing!
