Hi :) I'm Alice. I'm 20 years old and I'm from Italy. Since 11 months I live in Long Island , NY. I'm working here as an Au Pair and I'm going back in Italy in 2 months. I chose to come here to learn English and to travel. This expereince really opend my mind and leaving with people that you don't know is a challenge, but it bring me to appreciate the simple things my host are doing for me and I'm glad I have the possibility to share and learn from people different from me.
About me.. I have a sunny personality and I'm easy going, but for sure I'll look shy a the start. Don't worry, just give me few minutes :) Few thinghs you need to know abot me are: I'm very honest and direct with people. I always try to don't judge people from first impression. I don't like people that judge me without even know me, I don't like people that spend more time on their virtual life than on their real life and I don't like liars at all!!
I like do sport, animals, nature, and eat :D

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Soon I'll finish to work and I'll be traveling for a month around USA.
I'm travelling alone and without a car. I want to travel by myself because I know that if I'm with friends I'm not going to meet other people in the same way as when I'm alone. It will be hard, but I really want to meet people during my travel month and share my life and experiences and learn something new from the people who lives there. I think travelling is the best way for open your mind and see the real world. Couchsurfing is real opportunity for meet new people and have an exchange of cultures, thought and opinion. That's why I hope I'll find a lot of places to do CS during my travel. I never did it, so I don't have any reference, but trust me I want to know you, I'm very respectful

Centres d'intérêt

I like all the kind of sports. In my life I did: artistic gymnastic, swimming, synchronized swimming, roller skating, dance (jazz and hip-hop) and capoeira. But during my free time I life play basketball and soccer too. I like hiking and riding the bike. I enjoy every outdoors activity I guess :)
In Italy I use to do volunteer in a sport association for people with disability and to be an animator with kids during summer vacation, summer camp and winter camp. And I want to keep going with those activity when I'm going back and maybe start in other places too. I worked with kids since I'm 14, so now I think I want to see something differen and be helpful in another area :)
I don't really enjoy technology, but of course I use them to be in contact with people and to don't get lost.

Well .. I'm not the best cook, but I know how to make some italian plates ;) so I can teach you this and some italian words of course :) I can share all my experience and what I learned.
I'll be happy to learn new things and I promise you I'll be your guest and as one I'll talk with you and I really wrote what I think here. So I'm not coming just to have a place to sleep, but my prority is meet people that want to share, learn, talk, laugh, teach without second intention.
