About Me
Hello!
Passionate about political science, philosophy, and social sciences, studying at Sciences Po allows me to pursue all these interests because it offers a very interdisciplinary bachelor's program. I'm a curious person who constantly seeks stimulation! I can genuinely be interested in everything, and I particularly enjoy discovering new things.
Being Franco-German, I've always been immersed in two cultures and have traveled back and forth between these two countries to visit my German family. Thus, I've always loved exploring different cultures, and since my childhood, traveling has been natural to me, whether with family, friends, or alone.
I have a background as a competitive judoka. Judo was the centerpiece of my life from ages 10 to 16; it was my great passion. Today, as a black belt, I continue to practice judo, albeit less regularly, and I'm interested in all combat sports! I love spending time in nature, which is why I've been sailing since childhood. I grow up in Brittany. I'm a sailing instructor in the summer. I sail catamarans, windsurf, and use a laser. I go running and do strength training regularly.
I am politically involved in animal rights and environmental causes in an association because these are topics that seem very important to me. It's also for these reasons that I've been vegetarian for 7 years and vegan for 2 years. I'm also interested in effective altruism, which involves optimizing the allocation of resources to maximize good. Those who love philosophy may have already guessed it: I identify with utilitarianism and stoicism. And, of course, tripism.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I can't stay more than a month without traveling, or going to another city for at least a day. I self-diagnose “Wanderlust” syndrome haha. I love the couchsurfing philosophy! For mee, it’s definitely the best way to travel and discover the reality of the countries! I also love meeting new people.
I can talk as much about simple things as about very abstract philosophical delusions. And I love learning new things! Meetings enriches us humanly on a daily basis, and I want to take advantage of the trips I make to meet people from all countries and all backgrounds!
I have already gone couchsurfing several times with my brother, Louann Pjie, who you can find on this link : https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/louan-pjie?action=show&controller=user_profiles . Creating my own account was my first action when I became 18 because I love the concept of community!

Music, Movies, and Books
I really like pop music. It's quite classic, but I don't mind; I really enjoy listening to Imagine Dragons. As for movies, I have a soft spot for Tarantino's films. Django Unchained, Inglourious Basterds are my favorite from him. But otherwise, I enjoy dramatic films, action movies, comedies! Even French comedies...
“What have we done to the Good Lord?”, “The Tuche family”, “The Mad Adventures of Rabbi Jacob.”
The series that I watch the most are those produced by Arte, a French and German television channel; they are really high quality. I particularly liked Borgen and Occupied, two series about politics. I highly recommend them!
I like books on a variety of subjects. I enjoy reading books to learn new things, especially those not related to what I study at university but which still interest me. I also enjoy reading to relax, with lighter subjects. The last books I read were about psychology and economics. I particularly enjoy books that make significant historical subjects come alive; illustrations are also great for that.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
An extraordinary adventure that I experienced is still happened. It's not a trip to a faraway place (that will happen later, I'm sure!), but a human, political, and animal rights adventure.
At 15, I co-founded the Campus animaliste, the youth association of the French Animalist Party. With others around 22 years old, we created a group to get young people involved in animal rights politics. Planning events, giving talks to over 100 people became part of my routine. This sparked my interest in political science, which I'm studying now. It's still ongoing because this organization is still a big part of my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my knowledge in politics and philosophy, but also in sports and cooking! We can exercise together, and I would be delighted to cook some great dishes and cakes. I can make some special cakes: without eggs, milk, or butter, but still delicious! To share my creations, I even started my own pastry and nutrition blog (https://delicedalice.fr)!
