我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

As a traveller, I'd love to be able to meet and stay with people who have the insider knowledge of their town - best places to eat, coolest things to do, nicest place to watch the sunrise from etc. From what I've heard and experienced, people on couchsurfing are all quite down to earth, and cool to hang out with :) It's often not the places you go, but the people you meet that make a journey unforgettable.

兴趣

I love the beauty of nature. I love just exploring beautiful spaces. I like to go for walks and hikes up hills and maybe mountains, I like to go swimming in lakes, lagoons and beaches, especially awesome if they're warm from geothermal activity. I like taking photos of the beautiful scenery I'm so fortunate to see. As for sports, I've done a bit of taekwondo, rock climbing, rowing and kayaking. I've also tried curling and underwater hockey! Now, I've settled on Ultimate Frisbee, not just for the exercise but also the sense of community that comes with it!

To be honest, the photos on my phone takes up all the memory so I've no space for music - I just listen to whatever's on the radio! I love animated movies (disney and pixar), comedy and a bit of romance. My go-to authors for something fun to read are Matthew Reilly and Janet Evanovich.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Hiked an hour and a half over snowy, mountainous ranges for a dip in a hot geothermal river in the middle of Iceland in winter. A snow storm started picking up as we got out - the worst experience dressing myself ever. Would do again, 10/10.

I can teach you how to use a rowing machine properly, how to make a paper plane that flies ok and how to tie your shoelaces the right way so that they don't unravel every two seconds! I'm eager to learn about everything. I feel like the more I learn, the more there is to learn. I can share with you my love of nature and the joy that comes with being immersed in it.

I can share with you stories of my travels, and can help out around the house/run errands if you need me to! Even doing normal things in a strange new place is exciting :)
