Overview
About Me
Husband and I have traveled the world. We collect knowledge and skills. Apparently we collect dogs too. We're equally analytical and creative, both of us. We have a spare room (or two) most of the time when the kids aren't staying with us. Her: anthropology, business, writing, music. Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Cape Verde 2000 - 2002). The "hippy" one. Him: philosophy, theology, ultra-running, music. Canadian who went to university at Oxford. The "sporty" one.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We wished we'd had this when we were younger - but then we didn't have the internet, right? There are a million stories and a million ways to live. We want to hear them all. Also, temporary communal living is FUN!

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to list. Alice's favorite movies are Buckaroo Bonzai, The Big Lebowski, and Hoodwinked. Alice likes classic literature and science fiction. She writes science fiction and non-fiction essays (usually rather snarky). Music is all over the map, but not a great deal of rap, for no real reasons in particular.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Oh, wow. We've both done so many amazing things. See "about me" for starters.
Teach, Learn, Share
We're both teachers and learners. We've both taught in colleges. We're both still looking at things to learn in universities. We love to share. That said, I like my own toothbrush and I'm rather territorial about my desk. :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
We're both outstanding cooks, and we're quite tidy. We give labor freely, if there's jobs to do. We're quite sociable, but we're also a little introverted - we're happy being quiet.
