Overview
About Me
I studied in Edinburgh (one of the most beautiful citied in the world) and lived in Scotland my whole life.
Just this year I moved to France to volunteer in the refugee camp in Calais, where my life completely changed. Now I'm trying to travel the world with arms wide open, inviting myself to give and love freely.
I studied sociology, I was super interested in my subject and love chatting about all things sociological/political/environmental etc. I'm a self declared social justice warrior, always looking to find a cause or a movement I can get involved with but also happy to chat about less political things if thats not what you're into!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Currently travelling Australia with my best friend. We are really interested in seeing a more authentic side to this country, alongside our touristy ventures on beaches. Looking for hosts who can give us pointers as to what to do to get a real Ozzie experience.
I grew up with parents who loved to travel and I LOVE meeting new people! Whenever I'm stationed in one place, I open up my home as much as possible so I'm offering the vague promise of returning the offer somewhere in the world if the universe allows it :)
Music, Movies, and Books
Books are my thing. I read, all the time. On the beach, on the bus. I will read anything, from gooey romantic fiction to a good Owen Jones about the corruption of British politics & the welfare state. I read a lot about religion & faith too!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning languages. Particularly interested in Arabic, Italian & Spanish. So if anyone wants to help me learn /learn the very basics I know, that'd be fun.
I am also really keen to learn guitar, as I sing a lot but can never do my own music!
Not sure what I can teach people, except to live/laugh/love & give, every second of every day. Just as I try to do.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a Scottish accent that you can make fun of as much as you like!
I have travelled a fair bit and managed to emerge myself in some seriously cool cultures so happy to cook for you, from what I've learned from my world family!
