Overview
About Me
I am a translation student, my languages are English and Russian. I am a book lover, in fact, I chose Translation as a major because what I want to do in life is just to read books.
I lived in Russia for 9 months as an exchange student during my third year of my bachelor degree. I've lived in Velikij Novgorod for 5 months and then I moved to Moscow for another 4 months. I can't say I absolutely loved it, but in hindshight it was an experience I would surely have again.
Since I want to become a translator, I have to know everything I can about different cultures, so I love travelling and discovering new places and lifestyles, as well as learning everything possible about... well, everything.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing for two main reasons, I'd say:
1. I want to get to know different people from different countries, in order to learn something about their country and their culture, as well as sharing something from mine;
2. it's a great way to save some money while having fun and making new friends, so what could be better?
Interests
I love reading, I literally read everything, from junk like 50 Shades of Grey (you have to know your enemy) to medical literature. I also love learning new languages and discovering what links them to one another (you wouldn't say, but English and Russian are closer than you think). I fluently speak Italian (it's my mother-tongue), English and Russian, but I also have the basics of French, German, Finnish and Slovak (language-geek alert).
I love graphic-novels, engravings, the Flemish painters, tattoes and photography.

Music, Movies, and Books
It's really hard to tell. Generally speaking I like indie music and post-punk above all, but I practically listen to everything I like, including Lorde or Lana Del Rey.
As for movies, I'd say Wes Anderson's are my favourite, and books, well, as I said before, everything that is printed on paper (or written on a pdf) is good to me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
