ABOUT ME

I am originally from Hannover, but lived in a quite few different places in my life. I lived in Ireland for a while after graduating from school and then moved to Berlin, where I spent a long time until I decided to go back to Hannover, to then decide to move to Scotland. All these different places mean a lot to me and made me to the person I am now. Moving from place to place made the puzzle of life a wee bit more complete but I doubt I`ve finished it yet, still at the beginning...I guess.
I'm currently living in Edinburgh which is a tragic story as I fell deeply in love with Glasgow ( but who knows, it might be my next move) Edinburgh still is a fantastic place to be.
I am interested in different things and always find new stuff, especially people inspire me. I don't like getting into a routine and try to find ways out if I feel stuck. (Probably explains all the relocations)
I believe in changes, small things or big things. I enjoy moments of pure inspiration, may it be a song line, a painting, a photo or even a dance move. I wish those moments would hit me more often, as they feel so beautifully lively. You should definitely know that I am an adventureous person but in a calm and more observing way. I'd like to see the world with my eyes but sometimes my camera can change the perspective.

Travelling ; Cycling (preferably slow and on an old fashion dutch bike); Mountains; City Vibes; Friends; Music ; Good Coffee; Photography like Drahomir Josef Ruzicka, Alfred Eisenstaedt, Sabine Weiss, Willy Ronis, Robert Doisneau, August Sander, Dorothea Lange to name a few of my favourites..; long walks; art; fashion (more the expressing ,not really shopping); theatre (espacially theatre of the Absurd); architecture; antiques, flea-markets, I enjoy painting old furnitures and even joined a "vintage course" which was great fun; writing letters and postcards and probably very terrible poems, drying flours in books, collecting nearly everything
Dancing (Ballet; Modern;own style)very important in my life; I like to lose control completely and get lost in music and cigarette fog.

Star Wars (I know it's crazy but I know all dialogues by heart, don't watch it with me when you're annoyed by people who say it before the people on the movie)

Aardman Animations are great ( Chicken Run influenced me so much as 10-year-old, that I decided to become a vegetarian )

Then films which have a massive emotional impact on me like mirror/stalker, Bergmans often leave me speechless, then Lang, Anderson, Kubrick et la nouvelle vague; documentaries like Shoah

Books: Stendhal, Heinrich von kleist, I enjoy German classics but then I'm probably the only German who doesn't like the tin drum...,Kate Atkinson

I developed a deeper passion for and better understanding of films, music and literature over the years and could probably say about every piece I've read, seen or heard in the past that I would appreciate it more now and enjoy it on a more satisfying level, if that makes sense.
