CURRENT MISSION (2010)

To find a passion that I want to work for indefinitely and to be an expert in that field; to continuously grow and overcome any mental challenges; to be curious; to become more tolerant and tolerable.

Edited (2016): To graduate from my PsyD program and maintain a modicum of sanity. I realized I haven't updated my pf in a while and I think it's cool to just have a running log of missions over time.

ABOUT ME:
(2010)
I want to do good, live with no regrets, meet new people, stay physically and mentally active, be a better person each year, meet and overcome challenges, and improve personal shortcomings over my lifetime (though, I'd like to see that be done sooner than later!). I would like to broaden my range of character and interest to build more relationships with an even wider range of personnel and form deeper relationships.

I strive for balance and moderation in ambition, wants, and stress(though, more often than not, I find myself striving, rather than being in one).

I seek sincerity and openness.

I am a floater among social groups. Depending on the crowd, I am an introvert and extrovert, a leader and follower, serious and easy-going, humorous and mundane, timid and adventurous, flexible and rigid. I have a cheery demeanor and genuine curiosity.

I am pretty laid-back (at least when it comes to couchsurfing) and can easily go with the flow.

Most of the above still holds. I think I've made a bit of progress to acceptance of my flaws and shortcomings to not necessarily want to "improve" it (not to sound defeated..!).

Getting back onto the CS bandwagon by hosting and seeking meet ups.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed more than a dozen times and met really awesome people. I've had one negative experience but refuse to let one sour apple ruin it for all! I've also hosted and that was a great experience too!

My 7 year old golden retriever, running, hiking, chatting, taking it easy, having a goal, playing field hockey and lacrosse (preferably not too competitively)

I like pop music, across time and language. Also open to alternative music.

Not much of a movie watcher. I prefer to read but have been a while since I picked up a book to read for pleasure...prefer to be doing something active (e.g., running, hiking, not meeting deadlines).

Flew around the world from the east coast over the pacific, visited Asia and Africa and, crossed the Atlantic back to the east coast

I like to share what I have learned from prior roommates: basic vegetable roasting with olive oil and salt. I like random facts and international news that do not get covered by mainstream media. I also like to learn easy 5 minute recipes!
