ABOUT ME

I've recently moved back to Brighton for my dream job, having spent most of the last year living out of a suitcase in rural France, Paris, Prague and London. It's nice to be in one place for a little while, but I have to keep myself from getting bored, so I've still got my ear to the ground for everything going on around me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've Couchsurfed since 2005, both travelling and hosting, and I love it! I've also written articles for newspapers and magazines about Couchsurfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The most concerted Couchsurfing effort I've made so far was to travel almost the full length of Finland over a month, only ever staying with Couchsurfers.

Interests

I love art, film, music, books, theatre, horse-riding (when I get a chance), good journalism, travelling and just hanging out chatting with people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to think about right now! Just to give an idea, James Baldwin is one of my favourite writers, Harold and Maude is one of my favourite films, and Janis Joplin is one of my favourite musicians. Um, just to be clear, I do also like things from this century, but that was what came to mind first!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Ecuadorian Andes are pretty amazing, but they compete with lots of other places.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn as many languages as I can, and there's always more to know about all kinds of art and culture and the world in general. I can bore anyone senseless about literature if they want, and more practically I can teach horse-riding and what I know of the languages I speak.
