About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Just quit my job in The City of London and celebrating free time to enjoy this beautiful world! My first mission is to walk the Camino Del Norte to Santiago throughout September and into October.
ABOUT ME
I'm a 30 year old English girl with an insatiable appetite for traveling, meeting new people and gaining new experiences. I joined couch surfing when i was travelling in South East Asia, but didn't make full use of it until I spent a year's internship in New York followed by a month road-tripping where i stayed with many people in many US states and had a eye-opening, positive experience and amazing time!
I've been living and working back in London since 2013 but just recently quit my job and considering making another big move possibly to Canada. I am active, excitable: I love cycling, hiking, running and swimming keen to try any kind of experience and most of all exploring whilst making new friends. I'm a real foodie and I'm interested in wine and whiskey. I'm also a good, clean, considerate house guest ;)
PHILOSOPHY
It's all about the journey; open every door, you will regret not finding out where it led. There is also common kindness and humanity in everyone, from any country and all walks of life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am currently walking the Camino del Norte so looking for places to stay along the way but as soon as I get my own place / live with people who are willing I will be putting my flat in London up for hosting.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I travel a lot and first heard about couchsurfung in Australia when I answered a ride share ad (much to the horror of the people I was staying with) and met an odd bunch travelling up the east coast in a battered estate car. It sounded amazing, but was too scared to try on my own back then. However, being a little older and wiser decided to try it on my travels in the States. Having just finished a year of internship in New York, me and my friend had an amazing month road tripping across the West United States couchsurfing in all the cities along the way. We truley had the best time, met the best people and thoroughly enjoyed the spectacular country.
I have been converted into a couchsurfing advocate and cannot now envisage a holiday/ trip without enriching it by meeting the people of the places.
Interests
Exploring, eating/ drinking (could talk for hour relaying delicious finds to you / potent drinks and their consequences!), camping, cycling, running, any thing involving being in/ on the sea. More recently trying out Yoga (but not yet a yogi- i enjoy the bad stuff in life too much!) I'm into comedy (TV shows = Black Mirror, IT Crowd, FreshMeat, Flight of the Conchords, Black Books, Arrested Development, Alan Partridge... etc). I'm into live music (Folk, EDM, progressive house, Rock and classical).

Music, Movies, and Books
Into toungue-in-cheek comedy (see list above), independent films and science fiction. I'm perfectly contended to to watch the standard american sit-coms. Recent books: Zadie Smith, Kurt Vonnegut, Neil Gaiman, Stephen King, Nabokov, Margaret Atwood.....
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
No ONE amazing thing but my personal highlights are: doing the Coast to Coast race in south island New Zealand, star gazing in Fiji, the evening after swimming for my life from a shark. Having my mind blown by seeing fire flies for the first time in USA.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've recently got very into yoga, and while i'm not in anyway a qualified instructor i'm always happy to guide any willing friends in a short sun salutation. I'm also skilled at making a meal out of almost anything you have lying around the kitchen.
I'm rather adept at a fun game called Werewolf and happy to teach a group how to play.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories, a few pop-psychology tests, parlour games and jokes :)
