ABOUT ME
I'm a happy traveller, always eager to explore new places, discover new ways of life, new cultures and ways of thinking, grow from it all and hopefully become a better person.
After living on the American continent for more than 6 years, I decided to get closer to family&friends in France and settle in Spain for a while. It's a strange feeling to be back on your continent after years away, and as weird as it may sound, it requires a time of adaptation. But I'm happy I did, I get to discover Europe again, this time with the curious eyes of the foreigner I became.
I just moved again, back to France this time, I left my senseless job a year ago, to stop for a while and focus on what I truly want to do. After a few months of digging, I decided to go back to university and started a master degree in Social and Solidarity Economy in Toulouse, where I moved to in august 2016.
PHILOSOPHY
“Si tu n'arrives pas à penser, marche.
Si tu penses trop, marche.
Si tu penses mal, marche encore.”
Jean Giono
"Caminante no hay camino, se hace el camino al andar" Antonio Machado
The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.” Nelson Mandela.
"Personne n’éduque personne. Les hommes s’éduquent ensemble par l’intermédiaire du monde." Paulo Freire
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
While I'm travelling, I can't think of a better way to discover a new place, and live a true experience, far away from the tourist traps and frenetic consumerism. While back at home, I'm more than happy to give a hand to other travellers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first experience as a couchsurfer was in 2010 in Philadelphia. A truly CS spirit welcomed me and my friend just like if we were his old friends. The experience opened my eyes on what CS was, and years later, after many fantastic experiences, I'm still amazed at how 2 strangers can meet and become friends in a couple of days, just from having trust and open mindness in common.
Interests
Getting myself out of my routine & confort zones. Enjoying the outdoors, hiking, running, swimming in the ocean. Travelling and discovering new cultures and minds, hopefully different enough to mine that it could lead to questionning my certainties. Cooking, Vegetarianism, ecology, meditating, learning languages, currently working at improving my portuguese!
