About Me

I'm a very visual & creative person, empathetic, curious and interested by life and its experiences. I love stories in many forms, graphic novels, films, paintings. I am trying to pursue my interest in writing and drawing - I studied illustration a while ago and I'm working for a lovely graphic design company - currently in visual merchandising. I've also done a lot of art and creative writing workshops for kids, working with artists and storytellers and pretending I'm from another dimension.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really want to broaden my experience of life. I am open-minded and enjoy meeting other people who are also, and who can share some of their life with me. My experience of hosting people on couchsurfing really opened my mind even more and showed me so many things about myself and my life that were valuable.

I also want to travel more, because I have been exploring London for ten years - and whilst I am in love with this city and could continue exploring it and finding new things about it for a life time, I realise that there is a big wide world out there that I want to explore more.

Music, Movies, and Books

Recently I have been reading Carlos Castaneda, Hiromi Kawakami, Maggie Nelson, Miranda July, Max Porter... Women who run with the Wolves & a great book on storytelling called The Hero's Journey. Also working my way through Joe Sacco's graphic novels and reading Sarah Glidden Rolling Blackouts.

Recently I have been listening to Richard Hawley, Laura Marling, the Chef Soundtrack, Future Islands, Giles Peterson's radio show, Aldous Harding, Illa J, and Joan Shelley.

My favourite movies... I do love Paris, Texas. I love old classics like Les Mepris & L'Eclisse, Chinatown. I did just watch Chef and loved that! And Arrival and old British sci-fi movies. One of my favourite things to do in London is catch an old movie at the BFI.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've turned up with a scientist, in a caravan from another dimension, to help kids test the soil ph levels where a huge egg had landed in the garden of Hauser & Werth Gallery.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach creative ways of looking at things, draw a map of great places to visit in London, share about my experience of growing up in the UK, and I am quite good at bowling.

I would like to learn more about other people's life experiences and philosophies, other languages, food cultures, food sharing and generally loosening up and having fun.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I potentially can offer back a place to stay in London, depending on my housemates' willing participation.
