ABOUT ME

I grew up in a big family in Maryland, USA, in the DC area. Currently I am a middle school teacher in Japan with the JET program although I actually studied art like painting, printmaking, and graphic design in college (at Boston University). I have many passions, including singing, dancing, and stage acting.

I've surfed and been to some get-togethers in Tokyo and Seoul.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I happened to end up staying at a friend's house in Osaka while she was also hosting a couple of couch-surfers. They were both friendly, and overall I thought it seemed like a nice idea!

I love old movies and music, especially from the 30's, 40's and 50's. I also like cheesy 80's movies. I love to read and will read anything that catches my eye or is recommended by a friend.

Lived in Tokyo for five years, which was a great experience.

I could teach someone a little swing dancing if they're new to it, and I could teach some of the languages I know, especially English! I could also teach some technical art skills if someone was interested!
