About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live ethically
ABOUT ME
I am in London, studying a Master of Public Health at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. My main interest is the environment and health.
I'm from Tasmania, Australia, but spent 18 months working in Western Australia before moving to the UK. Both states are incredible, and I am happy to give you all my advice about Australian travel if you wish.
I am vegan, for environmental and ethical reasons. I'd be happy to cook a vegan meal for you and have a conversation about it.
PHILOSOPHY
I aim to be the best person I could possibly be and do the best possible work in whatever field I enter.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I think couch surfing is a great way to get to know a place and its people. I seem to have hosted a number of 'first timers'. We live a very hectic life in London and we're away most weekends at a conference, a race or some crazy adventure, so we're not very often available. We'll be at conferences/preparing for exams/traveling post exams until mid June 2018. Following this time, we'll be able to accept guests.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Music, Movies, and Books
Everyone should watch the documentary, 'Mary meets Mohammad'.
My busy schedule has led me to listen more to podcasts while running and cycling to work. Some of my favourites include Freakonomics, Radiolab, Invisibilia, This American Life, The Guilty Feminist, TED Radio Hour and a number of medical podcasts.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I trained with sea lions in a wildlife park in Belgium. I lived in Masaka, Uganda, with four other students for four weeks, where we organised our own health projects using funds we had raised before we left the country.
Teach, Learn, Share
teach: the art of face painting, frisbee, science of medicine, the science and art of public health
learn: how to ride a unicycle, delicious recipes
