About Me

Born and raised in Quito, Ecuador living in Berkeley, CA. Solo traveling around Europe for the first time. Excited to meet warm, authentic, real and fun people around. I love dancing, live local music, going out to explore, photographing, and learning.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm solo traveling for the first time in Europe and I've always enjoyed a trip more when I visit a local. I want to meet and hang out with locals wherever I go.

Interests

I love traveling to new places in Ecuador, since it has a huge biodiversity and I appreciate the fact of knowing my own country before I travel the world. However, now is my time to travel the world. Top favorite activity: music (spend most of my days listening to music) Love going to live music venues and see live bands. I enjoy film, art, reading. In order to move my body I enjoy running, yoga and dancing (of course), done a lot of hiking (always up to discovering beautiful nature spots). I love food, good food makes me very happy, I'm a great cook and I can cook any Ecuadorian recipe; not one, but I fondly respect vegetarians and vegans. I enjoy watching movies as well, I venerate good cinema, specially foreign (love other languages). I enjoy going out and having fun, meeting people from all cultural backgrounds, I love to hear great stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is definitely Latin music (salsa, merengue, cumbia, rumba, samba), rock (classic, indie), jazz (also really like groovy, funky) folk, swing, Spanish flamenco, Argentinian Tango, funk, alternative rock/pop, and house.
Favorite book - 100 years of solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez and favorite movie - What Dreams May Come by Vincent Ward.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumped from a 6 meters high waterfall.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have always wanted to learn to play piano and learn to speak German, French, Portuguese and Italian. Currently, learning German and piano by myself thanks to the advances of internet.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer good company, share my experiences, my stories, my knowledge and interests, about Ecuador and its lifestyle. I am also an outstanding listener, you can talk about anything with me. I love socializing so I'm down to go out a lot, specially to dance. Super clean individual, respectful and considerate.
