About Me
Hi there!
I am Alicia from Singapore aged 20 with an undying thirst to see the world. Half Thai and Half Chinese-Singaporean, still learning Thai (Wasn't brought up speaking it, such a bloody shame ) Currently studying for my degree in Australia Maritime College in Tasmania :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Truth be told, was initially wary of this site because I've always been brought up to be careful of strangers. But hey all grown up now and well not all strangers are bad, just as how the people you know best may be all that good either.
Was highly recommended by a fellow wanderlust mate to join this site because he himself had an extremely good time getting to know many new friends from around the world :) And I do like getting to know new people and learn different cultures around the world.... so tadah.
Interests
Wide range of interests, I really like learning about anything new and different.
adrenaline inducing activities (bungee especially), wandering around museums, sitting down to people watch in a park, walks along scenic views , hiking and basically anything that piques my interest (duh haha)
- traveling
- hiking
- bungee jumping
- sports
Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to various genres of music, but an extreme soft spot for frank sinatra :)
Watch most kinds of movies too, no horror/gore though. Marvel fan here represent.
Extremely avid reader ( my backlogged list though ugh) Love love love reading history books and once again anything that piques my interest.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I've done.
I like to think that the most amazing thing I have done SO FAR would have been enduring and excelling in my choice of varsity sport : Dragonboat.
Training was hell, sacrifice was aplenty, thoughts of giving up was abound, but I stuck through it with my gold medals for proof.
More amazing things to be done of course.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm 20 and have much more to learn, teaching and sharing about what I've went through personally and the travel experience I have had of course!
I like deep discussions about life, the world and our circumstances so perhaps my opinions and thoughts will lead to a interesting conversation ! :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
What I can share will of course definitely a healthy respect and gratefulness of allowing me to share the home for my trip.
Rest assured my Asian parents have instilled in me a sense of tidiness and cleanliness especially when I am a guest in someone else's place.. (did I mention I am self depreciating funny too)
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Cambodia, China, South Korea, Thailand
Countries I’ve Lived In
