About Me

I am a 22 year old student from the Netherlands who loves to travel and get to know new places and people! I am currently doing an internship with an NGO in Ecuador and looking forward to explore more of Ecuador until the end of December '19. In 2017 I travelled to India for an internship, and it was in no way comparable to what I have experienced in other continents. I love to book random, unexpected, cheap flights with a few of my friends and explore a country that we never expected to ever visit. This is how I once ended up in Poland with two of my friends, a place I never saw myself visiting in the first place. It was amazing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to get to know new people and explore cities and new exciting places together with them! I like to live by the idea that we can all learn from each other as equals, no matter if that is close to home or on the other side of the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music really depends on the mood I'm in. I could basically listen to everything and start enjoying it along the way ;) I can enjoy a good romantic comedy every now and then, along with a good action movie. I am more into series though, a good comedy or drama can really get me bingewatching for days.
I should really start reading books again, it has been a while since I finished reading a book (update two years later: I read books! I'm so proud ;) ).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My journey of 12 weeks throughout India following the value chain of cotton, was a journey that taught me a lot about myself, and it showed me what I still need to work on in my personal and professional life. It was an amazing adventure visiting a lot of different locations and learning so much that could be relevant for my studies.
