Overview
About Me
I'm open-minded, creative, intuitive, compassionate....Laughter is a daily food group. I'm multi-faceted — balancing time between city and country, spiritual while still being down-to-earth, I drink both both fresh green juice and bourbon. I consider myself a non-conformist but I'll be diplomatic about it ;) My friends come from all walks of life, and I like the diversity. I'm self-employed so 'bored' is not in my vocabulary. It's a juggling act but I love what I do and I love the freedom of making my own schedule.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm ready to hit the road again. It's been a lot of years since I've traveled and I'm over these Pittsburgh winters! So time to shift gears, meet new people, explore new places, and shake things up! I'm also happy to host as I get things more settled here at home.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: bonnie prince billy, neko case, bluegrass, world, honkytonk, cumbia, soul, funk, anything with originality and lots of heart
Books: usually it's books and articles on wellness/mind-body/spirituality for work. novels are guilty pleasures that I get to dive into on vacations. I do love a sweeping cultural epic...
Movies/TV: documentaries, comedies, and intelligent and bombastic action. I want to watch something beautiful that makes me feel my heartbeat.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One is so hard to choose! While on a train traveling through the Tuscan countryside, I thought "this must be an amazing view from the front of the train where you could see the whole panorama and not just the view from windows on the sides of the train. " And, within 5 minutes the conductor came to collect our tickets and, completely unprompted, asked my companion and I if we wanted to go up to the front and drive the train. So we spent the rest of the trip with that amazing view, singing songs in English and Italian with the other conductors, and literally 'driving' a huge passenger train. Unforgettable.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always up for learning new skills, exploring a new way of doing, and personal growth. I've got lots of things I love to share and have really dedicated my life to teaching others in many different ways. So if you're open and interested I'd love to share!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am happy to work out a way to share any of my completely portable work skills, especially for longer visits.... reiki, massage, intuitive readings, private yoga, etc. Feel free to checkout my website www.aliciafronczek.com to find out more about what I do! I'm also handy in the garden and in the kitchen and am happy to lend a hand if you need help with a project!
