About Me

I am originally from Madrid, Spain and just finished my degree in Journalism. I have lived in California for a year when I was in high school and did my Erasmus year abroad in Nottingham, UK.

I am now traveling through South America before I have to figure out what to do with my life. I love languages, I am fluent in English and comfortable with French. I also lived there (Bordeaux) for two months working as an au pair.

Very outdoorsie, but also love staying in reading with a hot drink. I love the feeling of fresh, cold, winter air, but also the hot sand under my feet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think is the best way to fully connect to the place you're traveling to, because you get to meet locals, and get to know the real places. The people who actually live there.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm always listening to music, and I'll be happy with almost anything. Bit of an Arctic Monkeys groupie, love Franz Ferdinand and Passenger, Leon Bridges and Daughter. Labrinth makes me shiver and Shura and Oh Wonder give me thrills.

I am not really a very cinema person, but I am sucker for musicals. Probably an all time favorite will be Love Actually (yes, go ahead and judge me). I loved Memento, everything Disney related, Snatch and documentaries.

Paul Auster and Isabel Allende are my favorite authors, I absolutely live for A Song of Ice and Fire, and have loved Evening News, Tell me no lies, The Stranger, Brave New World, and anything that Haruki Murakami has written.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most fulfilling things I've done was walking the St. James Way. A month of walking an average of 30km a day from the border of France and Spain to Santiago de Compostela.
Very painful but very amazing!
