About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Make a friend in every country! I want to immerse myself in every culture but also give back to the places I visit.
ABOUT ME
Hello, I'm Alicia and I'm 20 years old. After a trip to Sri Lanka my whole world changed for the better - I discarded pretty much all my plans in life and have decided to just go with it and see how it ends up. I love to travel more than anything else and enjoy learning and experiencing different cultures and different languages. I also love getting to know and giving back to the communities I visit so am always up for a bit of volunteering and try to help out where I can. I try to keep an up to date blog of my experiences which should be linked in my website bit. I am always up for trying new things - especially if they are adrenaline pumping or open my mind in some way. I am also an avid photographer although at the moment it is more of a hobby then a profession. I am currently vegan and like to get involved in both Human and animal rights activism. I am more of a listener than a talker but once I feel comfortable with you or we are talking about something I am passionate about you may have to tell me to shut up. I love to learn.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is always changing so I try to just roll with it, if you hold on to tight in one direction then your likely to cause friction and pain so flow easy.
Always play the smiling game.
Look up just as often as you look down.
I'm still learning why I live my life - there is so much to experience I'm not sure I will ever know. As long as I am enjoying the journey of my life i'm not sure if I mind where the destination ends up to be.
I enjoy giving gifts more then receiving them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I joined couchsurfing last year prior to a trip to Italy after a friend recommended it to me. After having a great time there I can't wait to do it again. Although I have not had much official couchsurfing experience when I travel I almost always stay with a host family, my most recent being for 3 months while in Nepal!

Teach, Learn, Share
I have a TEFL qualification so would always be up to try and teach a bit of English. I enjoy photography so would also be happy to teach skills or provide a kinda photo shoot like thing? I like to also share travel stories and definitely love hearing them. Been experimenting with vegan/veggie cooking recently. If i bring my ukulele I'd happily play. I would also love to pick up some foreign language skills but as I have mentioned I am also up for any new experiences!
