About Me

I'm Australian and half German from my mother's side of the family. I currently live in Hamburg and moved here in 2016. My plan is to study law at the university of Hamburg from October.

I love learning new languages! I grew up speaking English to my dad and German to my mum. I also speak some French and a bit of Indonesian. And I love learning new words and phrases of languages in the places I visit!

I'm an outdoors type of person and I love being in nature. I also enjoy seeing creative artwork, whether it be street art, architecture or in museums.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I originally planned to travel to Amsterdam this month with a friend of mine. Unfortunately she won't be able to come with me, so I'll be travelling alone. Since I had an amazing experience couchsurfing in Copenhagen and Zürich in 2015, I believe this will be another great opportunity for me in Amsterdam :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite Movies: Skyfall, Shutter Island, Inception, Anchorman, The Millennium Series, Sala Samobójców

I'm also really in to this Danish and Swedish TV series called The Bridge (Bron/Broen) and it is truly amazing!!

As with music, I listen mostly to alternative artists.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a school student exchange in France in 2012, and it was the best experience of my life, becoming real good friends with people you would otherwise never know!!

In January 2014, I went to the west coast of Denmark for a weekend to visit a friend who has the same rare medical condition as me. We met on a Facebook group for people with the condition, and we're now lifelong friends.

I've also had a great experience with couch surfing in Copenhagen and Zürich :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share the languages I know and tell you what living in both Germany and Australia is like.

And what I love about couchsurfing is that you really get to learn the culture of the place from the hosts and experience new places like a local and build a diverse range of new friendships!

What I Can Share with Hosts

A gift upon arrival, either wine or something typical from Hamburg! :D
