Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined this website several years ago because I love traveling with the purpose of connecting with locals, learning a city/town in an authentic way.

At the time, I thought I might be doing some international travel, but ended up moving to a new city (Hello, Boston!) to go back to school and focus on building my career. So please forgive the minimal development of my profile, I just recently logged back in and am building it up!

Travel Experience:
I've spent three months in Ghana, West Africa, traveled through the deserts of Morocco, met my extended family in Spain, spent a month on the island of Kauai, Hawaii, studied with social work students in Germany, toured the United States with my former band, island hopped in Greece.... and more.

Human connections are the foundation of life. It's important to me to build upon those experiences and continue traveling.

I live in a household with 3 other people, as is common in Boston, so I'm uncertain about the ability to host guests in the future, but I will be back to update my profile soon!

I recently decided I should make a list of cool things I've done to put up on my wall and remind myself of regularly. Here are some that come to mind immediately:
